I was chatting with a girlfriend this evening about music videos and this one came up. I remembered that my sister and I learned the entire dance in this video and use to do the routine in our rec room…good times, good times.
Anyway- I thought i would share it tonight, just for the fun of it… happy Saturday
If you haven’t seen CurlyFoodies YouTube Channel check it out – she is definitely worth subscribing too! She tried the Cherry Lola treatment and here is her results:
Okay, I know Bey is one of the worst for lace front wigs and super straight extensions. And I know that there are a lot of Bey-haters out there like most of the commenters here . Be that as it may, despite her faults, I Heart Beyonce.
I used to work at BBC television center and saw her arrive and prepare for a performance there. It was when she was touring with her all girl band and I was blown away by her. Strength, pride, composure- I’ve seen a lot of celebs, no one has presence like Beyonce.
Anyways I’m going to venture a guess and say the her hair in this video is a wig. And perhaps the backup dancers are weaving it too… I don’t care! It’s curly, big and the closest thing to natural since Goldmember.
EGO
In the spirit of my Country Music post here is Rissi Palmer, one of Country musics few black artist.
She has amazing hair!
Thanks ANNIE!

Last night I finally had some time to myself to blog a bit and take a tour through my fave blogs. I spent a good amount of time on Watermelonsushiworld, and Yayoi linked to a thought provoking article on adoption and race.
I am half adopted. My mom is my mother, and my dad legally adopted me when I was 4, so I was no longer a step child, but legally his as well. There have been a few times in my life where I wonder what it must have been like for him. Carrying around my little brown bum. I wonder how much people stared, and if it made him uncomfortable.
It is not so uncommon now to see black and mixed raced children with white families. It is rarely the other way around. The article focuses on that rarity. A black family raising a white child. It’s an interesting read.

This weekend is the Afro Hair and Beauty show. Sunday May 24 and And Monday 25th at Alexandra Place. Click here for more info.
I’ve never been to a hair show- and this is not a Natural Hair show, so I going to head up to the Palace on Sunday to see how many companies are promoting Natural Hair. I suspect not many.
Tickets are £10 in advanced, 12 at the door… Care to join me?
Thanks Layla for the heads up!
