found you thru alelia, and gosh, are you ever cute! love your hair, girl! sorry that henna doesn't work for you. since i started wearing my hair natural (ten years, give or take) i haven't even attempted a colour for fear of the results you described earlier. my colour is a boring 1B and i'm always looking for ways to make it shine. jojoba oil is my best friend...

Thanks Michelle. On this post this was a wash and go- Once the treatment is on the curls form themselves, and then it a case of be very gently when you rinse the treatment out and co wash, so you don't disturb the curls once in. I'll be posting about a good way to achieve this the next few days...

cl, the results of your your a.a. treatment are fantastic! im waiting for a bottle to come in the mail and i will be trying this myself. in the interim, i am interested in your styling process. do you use a denman on small sections *like teri* or twistout/coil out, or... ? my hair normally looks like your post henna pic. thanks!

Give yourself a couple of weeks before henna-ing again. It takes a while for hair to re-coop and re-establish 100% moisture. It takes about 1 1/2 weeks for me, that includes a DC or two.

Try just the henna and honey. The green tea has properties similar to that of protein, so I would leave that out for now.
I would recommend adding amla powder if you could find it.
