This is a scan from a magazine- so the quality isn’t great. But I love this ad, so I had to post it.

I love the 40s and 50s pin up girl style- who doesn’t'? This is a look I used to do all the time when I wore interlocking- especially towards the end of a weave “cycle” when the extensions weren’t looking so hot. Rosie the Riveter. I decided to recreate it today.

Today is Mariah’s 39th birthday. Which made me nostalgic for the Music box and her curly hair. So here is a reminder of her beautiful curls before she became addicted to the flat iron. I hope one day she goes back. Happy Birthday!

What is going on here?
Is this just oil or something else. Any insight would be great- I would like to avoid using whatever it is…

Helen Lawal is Miss Black Britain 2008 and a natural. I recently read an interview in Pride, and she made it clear that she loves her natural hair. I do too… can you say gorgeous?
Currently she is studying at the Hull York Medical School (HYMS) at the University of York
Helen has found herself in demand since the ceremony, with invitations to exclusive events such as the African Music awards and the Screen Nation awards.
However, she insists that juggling everything will not impair her future career as a doctor.
“Everyone has been really supportive, though I know a few people were a bit sceptical that I could combine the two.
“There have been rumours that I was going to give up medicine, but nothing could be further from the truth. Becoming a doctor is my priority,” she pledged.
Beautiful and smart -love it!

Anita Grant’s Rhassoul Clay Deep Conditioner has had rave reviews from all across the web, and mine has finally arrived!!
I order this awhile ago- however, because all Anita Grants products are handmade- it’s taken a while to arrive. But it’s here now!! So I’ll be testing it out this weekend!
A few post back I mentioned I came across this product in Morrison’s and said I liked it. I’ve been using it for a few days and have decided to change my ruling on this product.
I LOVE IT.
I’m going to go so far as to say it’s better then LustraSilk. For me at least. I did a test this weekend. One day Henna treatment Wax, the next Lustrasilk. The Henna wax has far more hold- which I need, and left my hair feeling far more silky. Plus my hair is far for resistant to puffing up over the day. In comparison, the Lustrasilk almost felt chalky. The camera died this weekend so I’m going to try the test again next weekend just to be sure- and this time I’ll take some pics.
